Not only tea leaves are brewed in China. Chrysanthemum flower herbal tea is also shared at lunch.
Among other properties, Chinese traditional medicine recommend Chrysanthemum flower in summer to prevent heat and also in winter against seasonnal infections.
Brewed alone, with green tea leaves, goji berries, other roots from Chinese medicine or rock sugar, it is delicious: sweet, fresh and invigorating.
We choose the most beautiful golden Chrysanthemum flower from the Yellow Mountains. The flowers are growing traditionnaly all aroud the tea villages and near the tea garden, blooming at summer time and spreading gold in the tea mountains
Our golden Chrysanthemum come from the same tea garden that our Huang Shan Mao Feng. We choose the biggest and the most tastefull. Traditionnaly the flowers are 1 or 2 cm, but these ones can become up to 10cm.
These flowers were harvested in July 2020 and put on to bamboo racks to dry in the sun until end of Summer. We sell them individually to introduce you to this typical chinese taste.
Brew one flower in a glass container to see how it open. Use boiling water and let it brew for a long time until the flower is totaly rehydrated. the second brew is the best. And with this quality flowers, you can enjoy several succesive brew.
